Racehorse ( poker )
Blind Stud. A home game, also called Mike or racehorse, played
as five-, six-, or seven-card stud, with the exception that
all cards are dealt face down. For example, in the seven-card
stud variant, each player receives three cards face down, followed
by a round of betting, another card face down, another round
of betting, a fifth card face down, another round of betting,
a sixth card face down, another round of betting, and a final
card face down, with a final round of betting. The game generates
a lot of action, but is more of a gamble--and thus presents
less opportunity to the skillful, analytical player--than the
"normal" stud versions with their several rounds of
face-up cards.
